My photography journey started in the 70s with a Kodak 110 Instamatic, I think it was an Ektralite.
Bought my first SLR camera in 1980, a Minolta. Made a partial jump to digital in 1999 with a 1.3 megapixel Kodak camera. In 2003 I upgraded to a Nikon E5700, more megapixels and better glass.
It wasn’t until 2006 that I made the leap to a DSLR, a Nikon D80. Blew the shutter on the D80 and bought a D90 in 2009.
Currently I shoot with a Nikon D7100. I like the DX format the bodies are lighter. Maybe I will make the jump to full frame someday, but for now DX will do.

I grew up in New York and have now lived in Highlands Ranch, Colorado for the last 25 years.

Even though photography has been part of my life for more than 30 years I decided I wanted some formal training. So I enrolled in the Professional Photography course from the New York Institute of Photography and completed it in January of 2012. I have also attended many seminars and workshops in and around Denver.

I am also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
